Who doesn't know the iconic Boeing-747, with it's first flight on 9 February 1969 and being introduced to commercial aviation on 22 January 1970, it's one of the most iconic planes ever built. And serving for 50 years, half a century!

This is kinda old so this blog thing is late. As Boeing announced that the last B-747 would be delivered in 2022 on July 29th 2020, it's one-and-a-half years now. Ans that 747 would be delivered to Atlas Air.

They said this was because of COVID-19 damages, but when 1 B-747 costs about $234,000,000-$266,500,000, low sales are nothing. Even the scrap value of it is $55,000! So there is no way Boeing can't make money off it.

The top B-747 buyers are-Pan Am, KLM, Singapore Airlines and JAL (Japan Airlines).

Now, including the cargo planes, only 408 of the 1,558 built 747s are operational. But only 61 747s have been lost due to crashes, that's quite low.

Well, that's about it!
