Rafael Nadal and Ashleigh Barty Win Australian Open 2022

World no. 6, Rafael Nadal won the Australian Open 2022 after defeating world no. 2, Daniil Medvedev. The match was really quiet long, about 5 hours and 5 sets. Ashleigh Barty (who of course is an Aussie) won the women's singles against US's D. Collins.

Barty won a straight 2 set match against D. Collins from USA. It was the first time since 1978 (44 years ago) that an Australian woman won in AO's women's singles.

Nadal won a record 21 Grand Slams with this win. If Djokovic can win 1 more title, both of them will be level in Grand Slam titles. Nadal has won most of his Grand Slams in the French Open since his first Grand Slam win in 2006.
